Saturday’s night  in Leon it’s a big party like Friday's night, you go out if you have in your body a bit of energy.
In Leon we have pubs for all kind of people, for example, if you’re a teenager you can go to Maremagnum, if you’re older you’ve other places to go to drink something and be with a lot of people with the same age that you have.
If you’re so different that you don’t like typical party because you’re punk or you like heavy music you can go to some pubs like Skanner, Estigia or Heaven and Hell.
But if you have between 18-30 years and you want to enjoy a lot, I think that the best thing you can do is go to Humedo’s bars to eat one of our fantastic “tapas” and later you can have a good time in one of our pubs.
All pubs are located on Barrio Humedo.
The most well known pubs here in Leon are:

  • Caño Badillo: One of the most famous pubs here in Leon, in Caño Badillo you can meet “famous people”, when I say “famous people” I’m referring to contestants in some reality shows well known here in Spain; like Big Brother or Mujeres Hombres y Viceversa (this is a TV program to find a partner)

  •   Garden

    • Moloko ( the Pub for Filology students)

    • Gallery

The list of pubs it’s a bit more longer but it’s so hard to speak about all of them.

Other way to have a good time is going to a Studio’s 54 concert, sometimes there’re wonderful groups like Nach or Delahoja (Spanish rap groups) but not all in disco it’s rap,of course.

As you can see, you all will need enough energy to make it to the end of the day.
How long do you think you can last?

  1. I'm EXHAUSTED already!!! Whoa--your group really, really has a lot of energy. You have "marcha" right? I like how you categorize the places to go out by age group--great idea. I'm still confused where I am supposed to go (stay at home?) because I'm older than 30 (but under 40)! Are some of these bars places that multiple generations go to? I remember when I traveled in Spain (about 15 years ago), I was so impressed by how much marcha the older people had--even grandmas would be out on the streets all night long during their village festival!

  2. Hola! It's Annie from UNH again. Those bars sound like a lot of fun! Have you ever met any famous people in Caño Badillo? Is it hard to get into that one? How expensive is it?

Watch out for the contractions like we've. “You go out if you’ve in your body a bit of energy” “In Leon we’ve pubs for all kind of people” “if you’re older you’ve other places to go to drink something”

  3. Hola. Me llama Sarah. I am in a Spanish class at Harvard Extension School. Your blog posting is very interesting. It is interesting that in Spanish one "has" things that in English one "is". For example in this post, it should say "if you are between 18-30"
I agree with Paige, the schedule makes me feel exhausted! But then I am also over 30.

  4. Hi Girls! Thanks for your commentaries!

Paige and Sarah, the age isn't a problem here in Spain, you can go without a problem to a pub categorized between 18-30, because age in this case is indicative, so I think that you can enjoy a lot into a pub of this kind.

Hi Annie! Yes, we have known a famous boy called Ferchu, it's not so much expensive enter here, you pay between 3-5 euros and you can meet him.

  5. Hola! Me llama Delana. I am also in a Spanish class at Harvard Extension School. I agree with the ladies above. That is a very long schedule, and I am only 28. Do you typically find Indian food offered in Leon?

Also, though it is technically not wrong in Spanish, English does not use double comparative adjectives such as "more longer". Usually we would use one or the other, but not both together.

I really enjoyed your blog post, and I look forward to reading some more. :-)
